The message below was sent in email to all Common Craft members. Please note that when we refer to "white label" below, we mean that the videos no longer include Common Craft branding.
Dear Common Craft Member,
We’ve made a much-requested change to the videos available in the Common Craft library. You don't need to do anything and any videos you’ve embedded will continue to display.
What changed?
Essentially, we’ve made Common Craft videos much more “white label”, meaning that they no longer display Common Craft logos, titles, or the tagline “Explained by Common Craft” in the videos, aside from a small copyright endnote.
Why?
We made this change based on member feedback. We agree it’s a good idea!
We want the focus to be on your expertise and ensure that the videos are even more useful in business, website and school-campus settings. You’ll find the educational content remains the same, and the video lengths are now a bit shorter.
How?
As we mentioned, any videos you’ve embedded will remain the same. However, starting today, any videos you download or embed will automatically be the new, white-label versions.
For example, if you want to switch to the new versions, you can grab new embed codes from the website and replace the existing ones. The same is true for video downloads.
What Else?
The new versions are available for all videos in English. At this time, these changes do not affect non-English videos. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Happy explaining!
