Site Note: Please Prove You Are Human

As Darren would say, this is a boring site note. I have finally turned on Captcha for comments to blog posts. This means that, in order to post a comment, you'll have to answer a simple question to prove you are human. I have a feeling you'll pass the test with flying colors.
More than anything, I want to know if you have any problems with the system. Thanks.
Updated: I'm testing a new system that I can't discuss right now (it's in private beta). This means that you may not see the captcha question as described above.

very challenging math problem for a machine :-)

As these simple math tests become more common, I imagine someone will build a bot to crack them. It's simple enough to scrape for anything resembling a math problem and then enter the result in the next available field.

After numerous mince pies, and probably too much ale...I have decided to comment here to prove that I'm still a human (and not just a mince-pie eating machine!)

Thanks for letting me know. I just started testing a new system that doesn't show captcha to everyone. Apparently you were deemed human in some other way.
