The movie “Office Space†has a person in it that keeps saying to everyone “Looks like someone has a case of the Mondays.†So very cheesy, but so true, at least for me. It’s Tuesday and I think have a case of whatever it is that seems to grip me on some Mondays.
It feels like this:
- Nothing I write is worth publishing
- Nothing I read makes sense
- The to-do list seems insurmountable
- No good songs are playing
- My clients are disappointed
- My computer is slow
- My desk is a mess
- No one reads my blog
- The end of the day can’t come quick enough
Of course, it’s all in my head. Today is no different than any other, really. It’s just how I look at it that makes all the difference- but I can’t help it. The Mondays creep into the day before I know and take over.
I guess I need these days sometimes to kick me in the butt and help me appreciate the good days. I'm sure Jeremy is saying "cry me freaking a river."

I think your Monday spilled into my Tuesday! For what it is worth - I read your blog and often send people to your posts on Trackbacks, Wikis as well as Blogs/Forums all the time.

You know, I've had 3-4 four people say that about the exact same day. That Tuesday was cursed! Even in Canada!
