Video: Cloud Computing in Plain English
By leelefever on November 11, 2009 - 1:36pm
Today we published a new video called Cloud Computing in Plain English:
This title has been one of our most requested and for good reason. Cloud Computing is a subject that has an explanation problem - people have a hard time understanding it because it's difficult to explain quickly. Like Social Media, it's a subject that is very broad and lacks broad consensus in terms of clear explanations. Our hope with this video is to lay bit of groundwork so people can see the big ideas.
We asked a number of people for input on the video and I want to thank: Tony Wright, Chris Savage, Uri Budnick, Jeff Dickey and lots of others who I bugged over the last year.
Lastly, this video is available for embedding with a monthly subscription fee. If you're interested, learn more or contact us.

your favorite "cloud computing" sites
i know you can't really include them in your video, but i'm wondering if you could share your favorite "cloud computing" sites with us. [other than the almighty google apps!]
Developing in the Cloud
Even if a company needs an application do business that doesn't already exist in the cloud, it makes a lot more sense to have a developer build it to run in the cloud instead of locally. Maintenance, support, and training all become less, and data accessibility improves.
cloud is similar as IT, i
cloud is similar as IT, i see two main values: 1. in frastructure. 2. Biz intelligence. while 1 is easy and explained clear in the video, 2 is always hard for one cloud to meet huge different biz needs in such dynamic world.

Thank you for your brilliant videos!
I really love the way you explaining it with those paper dolls? They're so cute :)
Your videos are very helpful and useful. They're also good at learning English. Because it's all in plain English.
I try to leave this comment in youtube.com at your channel, but I couldn't. Because my damn country is insisting on the real-name verication law. While limiting the freedom on Internet, they're always talking that Korea is powerful nation of IT. That's so rediculous. You know, there's lots of other stupid things happening here... which is much funnier to comedy shows.
I'm sorry I didn't mean to comment like this. But when really things go wrong, you feel you have to say to somebody. That's it.
Thanks again for sharing your amazing videos!
I agree with Jon
This is exactly what happened to my company not long ago.
