Client Video: Ford Sync in Plain English
By leelefever on November 3, 2008 - 11:22am.
We were hired by Ford Motor Company and Social Media Group to produce this video about Sync - a Microsoft technology that uses voice activation to control cell phones and mp3 players. In learning about the technology, we became fans of Sync, especially now that you can get a ticket in Washington State for holding a phone while driving.

Great video!
But I thought I'd give you a heads up on an "error" on your RSS feed. I use Google Reader to centralize all of the blogs I read and when you list the "Share this video with this code..." it actually embeds video code, so on Google Reader two videos display, something work looking at to clean up.
Feed Error
Thanks Brent. I saw that too. I'm not sure why it's happening, but I'm going to look into it for the next time.
Re: Feed Error
Feed Error maybe due to the web browser coz something its faults of web browser. Update the adobe flash. and try it again. like i does.
I hope it will help that.

Congrats
Yes i also confirm the about, i saw 2 videos in my Google Reader.
Btw if i am not wrong, this is your first attempt of a 'commercial' video, done well, helpful for viewers, must be drawing good bucks for also. Good concept. Keep it up.
And yes the original idea of such videos to explain complex things was yours, so rest assured, no one else is going to have that credit from CommonCraft :-)
Common Craft rocks
And in more than the hair band sense. You guys were great to work with and the whole Ford team is really excited about this. Thanks for doing such a great job!

Thanks Scott!
It was a true pleasure to work with Ford, Scott. We're trying to ramp up our hairband rocking department for 2009. :)
Seems like an odd direction
Seems like an odd direction for Common Craft. A big fan here, but... this is an ad.
Re: Odd Direction?
Just to be sure everyone knows the history, we've published 15 custom videos over the last 1.5 years. Working with clients has been a big part of our evolution.
Doesn't seem odd to me
Lee, as I mentioned to you at Blog World, I'm stoked you guys are making money building these videos - it keeps you around!
Google!? Ford!?
L-E-G-I-T
Moving on up!
First Google and then Ford. What's next? Following this guys success just motivates to take on your own ventures.
To The East Side?
HAHA! Yep, great job Lee! Yet another huge account under your belt. Who will it be next? I predict Microsoft or Intel.
Hope this catches on in Southern Calfornia
Southern California has recently passed laws against driving with the cell plastered to your ear. Many of our residents must feel very privileged and exempt from our new law because they just ignore it in droves. This is a good product, it should be a standard in every new car and mandatory like left and right turn signals. Wait, they don't use those here either...................sigh..............
Cool!
This seems pretty cool. The legislators here in Kentucky are now talking about making it illegal to talk on the cell phone while driving. I don't really see the point since most of Kentucky is rural, but it looks like this product can come of some good use here soon. That is if Ford is still around. Let's see if the gov bails them out..
