Marshall at ReadWriteWeb, posted a story today about Common Craft that was actually published a few months back, but has been reposted at a "redux."  It's one of my favorite bits of press and called "How Common Craft Stopped Doing Client Work, in Plain English."  I don't know of any other blog post that tells our story better.

Network Icon 75 by you.Since the original story was posted in September, we've created a resource that helps organizations in need of custom videos find producers who can help.  It's called the Common Craft Explainer Network.  I wrote about it here

While we've significantly limited our client work to focus on our educational videos, we see an opportunity to play a role in the growing niche around explanatory videos of all types.  We want to help talented producers find great projects and create a community around explanatory videos.

nice idea

explanatory video is important thing to convey the information or messages, this we can understand specifically what is all about rather than grasping explanatory text that sometimes English command is limited.

I have not met it anywhere!

I have not met it anywhere!

My kind of videos!

That is what makes your videos so great and I am glad that you do take the time to produce educational videos instead of always going for the mighty dollar. I used to only seek humorous videos on the web for a laugh, but once I surfed across your website explanatory videos have become one of my favs. Not only is the video nicely done, but it's always nice to learn something new.

Great point.

I get it.
Anywhere it's a very nice idea.

This great with tech idea,

This great with tech idea, very interesting and thanks common craft.

Another great post

I love common craft - great treatise

Explainer network

Great idea lee! although at first it may seem contraditory to open space to your "competitors", this is a win win situation for commoncraft. By founding the explainer network, you're actually attracting more potential clients to you,as you already is a reference in explanatory videos, and, at the same time you're helping to build an excellent resource for the development of eductational videos, gathering the best companies on the market in one place. There is room for everyone that is talented to work. As some mey think, this attitude won't steal potential clientes from you, they'll only help to build a stronger commoncraft. Great idea!!!!
