My First Podcast Interview
By leelefever on February 22, 2005 - 10:47am
Yesterday I had the honor of being interviewed for a podcast by Jake McKee at CommunityGuy.com. Actually, it was split into two interviews and both are online now. Here are links to the show notes, files and feeds...
Snapcast 1: Lee LeFever and Northern Voice
Snapcast 2: Lee LeFever and the Blog Business Summit
Jake has (perhaps) coined a new term that I like- "Snapcast". I'm a fan of short podcasts and according to Jake...
It's a short, down and dirty podcast. The idea is that between my big episodes, I'll be posting quick (10-15 minutes) podcasts of a specific subject.
We used Skype for interview and it seems to have worked really well, though I think my mouth was too close to the mic. I enjoyed the experience and didn't cringe too much when listening to it the first time :).
Hey Jake- can you tell us more about your podcast set up in the comments?

My First Podcast Interview
Pretty simplistic really - I've been playing around with multiple methods, but for the Snapcasts, I used a cheap Koss noise canceling headphone/mic headset.
The snapcasts were recorded using a brand new, and VERY cool software - MixCast Live. Made specifically for doing podcasts - mixcastlive.com. For the two Snapcasts with Lee, we used Skype and Mixcast was able to record out.
Doing my podcasts on my own, I've been using an iMic, that same Koss headset, and Audacity.
Either way isn't that bad on quality, but I'd really like to get a better mic.
And yes, it really IS that easy!
