Humor for Electrical Engineers

According to Wikipedia, the Turboencabulator was written by Bernard Salwen during World War II. His job was to review technical manuscripts and, probably thinking to himself that some of the jargon was a bit ridiculous, he made up his own. Apparently, this is considered "professional humor" amongst electrical engineers. Wonder what their conventions are like? Link to the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turboencabulator

When, however, it was discovered that wending could be prevented by the simple addition of teeth to socket, almost perfect running was secured. ..."

Now that's funny

The early attempts to construct a sufficiently robust spiral decommutator failed largely because of lack of appreciation of the large quasi-pietic stresses in the gremlin studs; the latter were specially designed to hold the roffit bars to the spamshaft. When, however, it was discovered that wending could be prevented by the simple addition of teeth to socket, almost perfect running was secured xbox 360 for sale
