Forgive the Sporadic Online Status

There's no doubt about it, I take Internet access for granted. For last couple of days, my computer will only connect to my home wireless network for seconds at a time and it's painful. I'm on my wife's computer now.
While I get this figured out, I may not be reachable via IM or Skype and may have some delay in returning emails. I'm off to a coffee shop now to see if I can connect there before diving into tech support hell.
Oh and for those IM contacts out there, sorry for the constant signing in and out -- thats the sporadic connection. I've heard the reports.

Is your wife's computer using wireless? What are your specs? (OS, processor, RAM, etc.)
A friend of mine had this problem which turned out to be due to the encryption on his wireless connection. He found that if he turned off encryption at his router, he could connect without any problems. Might be worth a try. :)

Thanks for the offer to help Erika. My wife's computer is on a wired network. It definitely something with my computer as others can connect to the wireless network just fine.
I got new drivers for my integrated wireless card, but it didn't help. Finally, I tried using an old wireless card (the kind you stick in the PCMCIA slot) and installed the drivers for it and everything seems to be fine.
I assume my integrated wireless thing is freaking out or something.
Also, I love your sketches Erika- great idea, a sketch blog.
