Made it Back

We made it back on Sunday night but my blogging is still on vacation. I think I get in these phases where I'm heads down and not paying attention to the outside world and nothing seems worth writing about.

The Buddy Icon Issue: RESOLVED!

Here’s my conclusion: It was a bad idea to ask for input. I really appreciate everyone’s comments, but asking the Internet for input on a personal representation of myself doesn’t really work. It's like saying "Do I look fat in this?" I’ll mark it up to an experiment.

WebVision 2005 - in Sight

I'm just about to leave Seattle for the 3 hour drive down to Portland, OR for WebVisions 2005 tomorrow. I'm staying tonight with an old friend from NC who first introduced me to the west coast, so I'm looking forward to seeing he and his wife and daughter, Hollis.

Blogroll Conundrum

I've had a subscription to Blogrolling.com that has just ran out. I'm not renewing while I figure out what to do instead.

For the past year or so, the old blogroll had stopped being updated. It was just not part of my workflow to manage the constant changes. It ceased to match the movement of my online attention.

The Buddy Icon Issue

My appearance has a way of changing over time and I often find myself with a buddy icon picture that doesn’t match. I’ve heard from multiple people lately that I need to change the picture since it doesn’t look like me now. I agree and I just uploaded a new picture last night.

Pre-GnomeDex BBQ - You're Invited

The guys at Bryght have talked me into having a Pre-GnomeDex BBQ at my house on Thursday afternoon, June 23rd. Really though, I *love* hosting these kinds of things.

The GnomeDex registration/Google party starts at 7, so we’re planning to BBQ that afternoon between 3-7 PM. You’re welcome to come by and have a beer, some food, whatever. Don’t worry about bringing anything, but don’t expect anything fancy either. :)
