OK, I'm pretty psyched about Lookout. It's a search bar for Outlook:
If you use Newsgator, you'll need to install a patch. Found the fix in the Lookout support forums (notice the RSS feed for the forums- they're going to be on most forums soon.)

Hey, Lee - have you tried Nelson Email Organizer (NEO)? http://www.emailorganizer.com
Lookout is elegantly simple, but it's kind of a one-trick pony. NEO also gives you that super-fast indexing, but it also gives you indexed views by sender, data, topic, status, category, etc.

Nope- haven't checked out NEO Scott, but thank for the pointer.

Your link for Lookout is wrong. You've got www.Lookout.com, which is some crappy search engine. It's www.LookoutSoft.com (based on your link to their support forums).

OK -- I downloaded it, installed it, and tried it, and it is very cool. It's simple, elegant, and effective.
The only thing that really ticked me off was having to download and install the 23-Meg .NET framework.

THANKS for the note on the link Scott. All fixed now. Yeah- Lookout has saved me time on numerous occasions.

I'm really starting to appreciate products that stay elegantly simple in their design and do their job well. You know the old saying, "When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail." Well, the flip side of that is, "When the problem in front of you is a nail, all you really want is a hammer."
